"I'm Going To Smoke 'em Something!"

I have known Lloyd and Dyian Sutton since 7th grade. Actually, they have known me longer than that, because when we moved to Springdale, Lloyd came right up to me and said, "Michele, the last time I saw you, you were this big" and lifted his hand up to about his waist. It made me smile. I graduated from CAC with their youngest daughter, Hope, and their oldest daughter, Charity, was one grade ahead of me. Now we are all living here in Springdale, and getting to know each other again.

Charity has been with me on this GFCF journey from the beginning. She helped clean out my pantry. She went with me on my first GFCF trip to Ozark Natural Foods. She gives me recipes and calls me daily, checking in on how we are doing.

I was a bit overwhelmed after we the "cleaning of the pantry". Charity was telling her dad, Lloyd, about our GFCF diet and how I was doing. Lloyd, who has the gift of mercy, said "I'm going to smoke 'em something." Lloyd is so precious! He felt my anxiety and wanted to make it better, any way that he could do it.

So guess who got to eat smoked pork loin tonight? That's right, the Kilmer Clan. And I can tell you that it was really great! Lloyd has a talent for smoking meat. It was awesome- which is why there is not a picture of it, because we ate it half of it before I could get the camera out!

Lloyd and Dyian are wonderful, living examples of Galatians 6:2, which says "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." I am so grateful for the blessing of precious people that God has given us in our church family. And tonight, I am especially grateful for the hospitality of Lloyd and Dyian Sutton.
